Laco

Laco Uhrenmanufaktur GmbH was founded in 1925 by Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel in Pforzheim, Germany. The company name was derived from its former name of Lacher & Co., which Hummel continued to run after Lacher parted ways early on to found what would later be Erich Lacher Uhrenfabrik.

After stints of ownership by Timex and Swiss firm Ebauches S.A. from the late 1950s until the 1980s, the Laco name and logo were acquired by Erich Lacher Uhrenfabrik, reuniting the two companies.
