Bremont Watch Company Limited was founded in 2002 by Nick and Giles English. The British brand is based in Henley-on-Thames and was named after Antoine Bremont, a French former World War II pilot who had helped the brothers after an emergency landing in the 1990s. Bremont was acquired by American businessman Bill Ackman and Hellcat Acquisitions LP. The English brothers stayed on as board members, before transitioning to brand ambassadors in April of 2025.
Norton Motorcycles
A partnership between Bremont and Norton Motorcycles was formed in 2009, a year after the historic British motorcycle brand was relaunched. A limited Norton edition watch was produced and made available for buyers of the Commando 961SE, successor to the Norton machine of the same name that had competed at the Isle of Man TT in the 1960s and 1970s.
Bremont appeared as a sponsor of Norton’s 2017 Isle of Man TT entry. The Bremont Norton V4RR was announced in the same year, featuring a gold Norton logo on a silver dial, and a red motorcycle wheel-inspired rotor to match the superbike of the same name.
The V4SS was also released, and only made available to owners of the Norton motorcycle that it was named after. Both were limited to 200 pieces.
The Bremont logo has also appeared on Norton SG6 of David Johnson and Josh Brookes in 2017.
Official Watch & Timing Partner of the Isle of Man TT
Bremont was announced as the Official Watch & Timing Partner of the Isle of Man TT in 2019. Peter Hickman, winning of the previous year’s Senior TT, was also announced as a brand ambassador on the same day.
A Bremont ad featuring Dunwell Jewelers in Douglas appeared in the 2019 event program. On the ad was an Isle of Man TT chronograph that was primarily marketed through the boutique, which was limited to 62 pieces. A red rotor featuring the Three Legs of Man can be seen through the exhibition case back.
Two additional Bremont Isle of Man TT Limited Editions were released in black and whited dials in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Both have the Isle of Man TT logo on the dial, with the white dial version featuring a 6 o’clock date window. Both were limited to 67 pieces.
The partnership with the TT continued until at least 2023, and likely ended with Bremont’s major 2024 rebranding.
